A Florida daily newspaper, Sun-Sentinel, ran a story today about a man accused of sexually assaulting two dogs. When you read the story on their website, their choice of “Get Local” related content on the page is a little odd…

Here’s an important lesson for urban transportation planners - always figure out what your new bus or trolley line name will look like as an acronym. Otherwise, you may end up with some unfortunate results.
We’re sure it wasn’t intentional, but in Seattle, they’ve got a new trolley line - it’s called the South Lake Union Trolley. Sounds nice, right? But like everything else, names get shortened, and South Lake Union Trolley becomes……. SLUT.
Whoops, not good for marketing, guys.
But this misstep did prove to be hilarious for a couple of enterprising young men who work at Kapow! Coffee, located near one of the new trolley barns in Seattle.
They took it upon themselves to come up with “Ride the SLUT” t-shirts, and have been selling them like hotcakes.

The first couple of seasons of Sesame Street are being made available on DVD - but with a strange caveat: These early ‘Sesame Street’ episodes are intended for grown-ups, and may not suit the needs of today’s preschool child.
Hmm - most of us here at AM were raised on the old-school Sesame Street, and no one here is any worse off for Cookie Monster’s gobbling of sweets, and Oscar’s depressing demeanor.
