Utah State Senator Flips Out When Pizza Delivery Girl Refuses His Check

Curt Bramble Meet Curt Bramble.  He’s the Majority Leader in the Utah Senate.  He also seems to think that being a State Senator means that pizza joints will bend their rules and take a personal check from him.

Unfortunately for Bramble, Anna Eagar, the pizza delivery girl, wasn’t willing to back down.  And to add to Bramble’s troubles, Eagar also has a blog.  You can probably guess what happened next.

Eagar works for Nicolitalia Restaurant in Provo, Utah.  Their policy for delivery is to take cash or credit card.  Business checks are also acceptable, but personal checks are not.

When Bramble tried to pay with a personal check and was refused, he responded with “Look, I’m the majority leader of the state senate, I’ve lived in this house for 30 years, and I’ve never bounced a check.”

Eagar eventually put Bramble in touch with her manager back at the restaurant and after much back-and-forth, the issue was resolved, but with quite a bit of anger and ranting on Bramble’s part.

You can read the entire blow-by-blow account on Anna’s blog.

Think that Bramble should have played by the rules and coughed up the cash, or used his credit card rather than pitching a hissy fit?  Let him know:
