In an embarrassing incident for St. John’s (Canada) Dairy Queen franchise owner Albert Buott, video taken by his employees has been posted to Facebook, and it doesn’t show the restaurant or the employees in a very good light.
Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC) aired a report (including the video from Facebook) showing the employees participating in a snowball fight behind the counter, and one employee mooning out the drivethru window. (View the video here)
The Facebook group also contained messages posted by current and former employees questioning the restaurant’s handling of food, in particular the reheating of certain food items.
When contacted by CBC regarding the video, Buott said, “Good God almighty, where’s my managers? Who’s allowing this to happen?”
Of course, the news of someone dropping trou behind a counter where food is prepared and served did not sit well with the local health inspectors, so provincial officials will be in touch with the restaurant management soon.
The video and other content was removed from the Facebook group after Buott contacted his employees, so don’t bother heading over there to look for it, it’s already gone.
